I personally think those people that are completely new to this forum, while I agree that the current system where they have to validate their e-mail address and make a short post answering the few questions Rachel posted is great, I think they shouldn't be restricted to just read the forums. I found it quite a hassle to log out just so I can access other forums. Perhaps something could be done about this?
I know the validating thingy only happens once, but still, I thought it'd be nicer for future members |

Those restrictions, I think, are set in place both for security purposes and to prevent spam bots. Just comes with the territory of being a part of a forum these days...

We get dozens of, what seem to be, valid new account requests that are never completed. Either they don't provide a real e-mail, they validate it but never post, and a few post incorrectly.
When you're in the "Validating" group, you can only see the validating board and the rules. This is because we have so many boards and we need to direct their attention to those two.
