Nexus Forums _ Nexus Polls _ When Did You Leave Nexus?

Since this is basically a dying board, I thought I'd post some meaningless poll.

Not counting the couple of times here and there I've registered to go to a few elixir wars, I stopped playing in 2004. Since then I think I may have been registered a total of 6-8 months

I stopped playing on a regular basis somewhere early this year after being flooded twice at home. I lost interest for TK drama, there was more important things to take care of.

I have an account that'll run until November or December, still haven't decided what to do with certain things.

I can't remember if it was 2005 or 2006, but one of them. I think I went back once since then, basically reminding myself why I gave up on the game.

Wow.. Uh.. It's been long enough that I can't even remember! 1999? 2000? Maybe even earlier? blink.gif

I quit playing May a year ago because I got hooked on Farmville. Yeah another stupid game. I cancelled my 2 autopay accounts this week but only because my hubby had open heart surgery and we've got massive bills coming soon. I figure I'll get back to it one day. Mostly because I love adding content to NA and I hope to get a couple of my characters to Sa san. Who knows.

On and off since 2004 haha, just can't get away. Everytime I quit though I'm here for less time then the time before, last reregester lasted all of 3 days before lost interest

Playing on and off since 1998 haven't been able to keep a character for long though always got banned for char sharing, duping, hacking, botting.. Don't think I'll go back to nexus, waiting for RG plus I'm addicted to an iPad MMORPG which is way more fun since there's frequent updates and the admins actually listen to the players smile.gif 5000+ players and the head gm actually replies to posts on the forums, kru can't even answer an email instead they pay vini 3 cents

I originally played around 2002-2003 and stopped playing after 2006. The only "famous" person I knew (not just met once) was Itsyei, who leveled up with me when both of us were only like at level 30 or so. I also leveled up with a guy named MaxDeShayde.

From a post I made in November last year:

QUOTE
I only used three accounts in the game: Vinzee (a newbie, never registered), Boomdoom, and Victorvius. Vinzee blocked entrance to the arena (or whatever, at East Buya) and got jailed; I failed at typing stuff to get out so I quit. Boomdoom was the farthest I got... but I only got up to like, level 56 and just kinda stopped leveling up at that point. Victorvius got up to level 20 or 30 or something and I quit.

So basically you probably never heard of (or remember) either Boomdoom or Victorvius. My activities consisted of trying to claim the then-empty deluge shop as a glorious home (complete with flowers), proclaiming that black-and-white checker game place as a "restaurant," giving newbies a tour of the museum area (which they liked a lot) then taking the dragon tooths they were unable to pick up (but reminding them they could easily get their own once they registered), and offering to weave peoples wool for free. Besides this I used to hold parties in the Kugnae palace bath area, and some other misc. areas. I also recall cutting down ginko wood and then when feeling generous giving 100 or so of it to people at random for free. I used to mine a bit too, and engage in amateur cooking. My greatest aspiration (as a warrior) was to get those generic wooden shield things and join the Buya Army. As far as "meeting" famous Nexans went, one time I talked to Princess Lashan and at one point WorldWalker came up to me in Mythic and told me to stop doing something on the boards. That's about it.

Basically I excelled in gimmicks and events.

I "disengaged" from Nexus in 2009/10-ish... But, to be quite honest I still keep coming back every now and then in the naive hope that things have miraculously improved: they haven't.

Still, I do enjoy speaking to those who live on in the world that we created. To the robots (i.e. the vast majority) that just hunt, I encourage you to either a) google search a better MMO or cool.gif upgrade their PC (and/or get a job to facilitate it).

Much love...

I quit nexus when they banned my account. This is the easiest method of discontinuing $9.95/month, I recommend this method to all.

Admins, are you able to add a 2012 option? If so, do please smile.gif

I'd take it a step further and do something epic that tarnishes your characters but makes you live on in infamy. It's much easier to not want to come back if you have nothing to come back to. That's what I did. And while I have come back to NF every so often, I've never once re-installed the game after getting banned for my fiendish exploits lol. Seriously, if you're on the fence about quitting or finding it hard to do, do something epic (even better if it's bannable), write a nice goodbye to those that remain, and then "smile here".

I had to increase the maximum number of choices per question.

I put it at the end of the list because I think it screws up the poll if you mess with it more than that.

I forget when I stopped playing... sometime around when the big way of botters + bonus exp events... and most of the people I used to play with all disappeared..

The few times I've regged, Ive noticed people that I remember... but most of the people "hanging around" to get stats, dont speak english.. and its a lot harder to find people to play with with a 200 player base...

(dead video card ftw? im bored D:)
