Good game
Bugs: • When you go NR to a room with enemies then go BR, sometimes they teleport with you to BR • If you enter a room with items then leave, then go back to that room, all the items will have disappeared • The above sometimes happens with enemies, too; that is, if they didn't teleport already to BR with you • When you enter a room with enemies, some walk off the map and disappear unless you get to them and get their attention first • Sprite shows a Moonblade regardless when a different weapon and when no weapon is equipped • Sprite doesn't show armor when it's equipped • When you equip new equipment, then enter a room with enemies; they'll be wearing the same thing you are, i.e. all enemies always look like you • Rogues spawn with warrior items at start of game • You don't need to be facing the enemy to attack it • No graphic for Warrior's block • Items don't show stats at store or when equipping; all that is shown is AC when pressing 'g' • No differentiation between which items are for Warriors and which are for Rogues; either one can wear anything • Scale mails are written incorrectly as StarMail, Moonmail, SunMail in store, but correctly as Star|Moon|Sun scale mail when equipping • FPS counter sometimes glitches • When you equip an item and you have more than one of that item, while having a full inventory, the item that you had equipped before is forever lost • When you kill enemies with a full inventory, there is no mention of the item they would have dropped; thus, it's forever lost • When you drop items, they are forever lost • Item bar is almost halfway up the screen from the bottom; should be at bottom next to room number • You can hold down Attack & Block on Warrior, i.e. indefinite benefits of block while attacking, making him OP • You can Ambush at a faster rate than regular attack on Rogue • Doesn't make sense to have only 5 item slots yet let them stack to triple (maybe quadruple) digits; should be more slots with item-specific and/or total limits for stacking • When you walk into a room with enemies holding down Attack, you'll somehow attack an enemy on the other side of the map • From Floor 35 onwards, the map is broken (doesn't show rooms) and enemies and items always respawn upon reentering a room |

QUOTE (Brant @ Jul 8 2016, 06:33 PM) And when Yuri died, he's laying there on the table, and they left his NPC response ability enabled. Oh man that was hilarious. A true leader ─ he couldn't ignore his people and his response ability to address their concerns. |

QUOTE (Interstate @ Jan 18 2015, 01:21 PM) it is so funny cause that is absolutely outrageous but you make it sound so legitimate and credible. plus you seemingly owned Adam and he always prides himself on outsmarting everyone, but an Ad hominem stab is kind of below par for his usually performances (everyone who lives on the internet knows the easiest of logical fallacies). I didn't view it as a one-up on me; I viewed it for what it was: a statement of fact saying that it's possible one can wrongly hold the opinion that the video discredits DM's written posts in this thread. And while what you say regarding ad hominem interjection may be true for your run-of-the-mill debates (presumably between laypeople who are quick to insult), this is not that. There has been no debate in the past several posts, only haters hating, i.e. ad hominem, and to say it's below par to point that out is fallacious, itself. If you need me to direct you to which of the not-the-easiest logical fallacies I'm referring to, just let me know. |

QUOTE (Alston @ Jul 14 2014, 01:41 PM) This might be a dick thing for me to say, but you could always solo. It might be slow, but it's still hunting. That's like telling someone who's stranded in a really small town with no public transportation, on his way to his home about a hundred kilometers away in the city, and is trying to call every friend/taxi service and/or flag down every passing vehicle for a ride, but they're respectively not answering and stopping, that he could always walk. |

Sure, it's been around for a long time but it wasn't nearly as rampant and hardly ever consisted of so many people. Almost everyone actually hunted, because there were so much more players and levels/stats were spread out pretty evenly; you usually didn't have much trouble finding/making a group. You'd mostly only get leeched if you knew the leecher pretty well, usually in real life. Plus, Gim Yi's den was like one of the only effective leech places anyways and, if you cared about speed you were out of there after the 16 levels it took for HH.
Also, pretty sure EXP was really crappy when grouped with people not in your stat/level range, so for the best exp, you'd have to remain ungrouped and get it to low red, then amnesia/kill, etc. |

Don't know what you're talking about, Yeas, but it was never that bad back in the day. We used to actually hunt pre-99, from the Buya/Kugnae Rat/Worm caves, to maybe hitting up a few blue lobsters in the Vale, to Iron labyrinth, then to Mythic nexus, moving on to the next cave (only skipping a few of the smaller caves) as we leveled up.
Spawn times sucked, so mobile hunts were practically required. Leeching was rare. |

QUOTE (Songa @ May 4 2014, 07:11 PM) I wouldn't say that the PK is any better or worse than other games, it's the interaction you have with the other players that really makes it. QUOTE (Songa @ Apr 10 2014, 07:20 PM) But even if you are into that sort of thing, there's a dozen MMORPGs out there who have a similar and better system of PK. (Not even talking about WoW) |

QUOTE (Corrosive @ Apr 11 2014, 07:13 PM) If Nexus PK was syphoned off into a separate game with varying balancer levels it would have great potential on something like steam. You could even throw in Elixirs and Fox hunts to appeal to more people. One off payment for the game would be especially appealing. Make it happen, cap'n. For real though, I would totally support a project like this. And to avoid any legal issues, Nexus' engine and graphics aren't even necessary. I mean, I don't know about the rest of you but I'd be perfectly content with stickmen and [Content removed]ty flash-game graphics. Just give me the same game/PK mechanics and path/spell archetypes (even with different names for each). |

QUOTE (Mazel @ Apr 4 2014, 06:25 AM) Maximize your fun by: - Reading and writing on Rambling Thoughts in between rants about path balance, carnages, and justice.
- Hang out in sire pit and skirt the edges of profanity and harassment laws.
- Attend carnages and elixirs where you can laugh at noobs, complain about dis/sc, and ideally pwn your enemies!
- Never hold a position of power/responsibility!
- Log off when you wanna do something else.
EZ QUOTE (Mazel @ Apr 4 2014, 06:25 AM) Mazel never lies.

QUOTE (YanDaMan @ Apr 3 2014, 03:03 AM) You know, one of the first online games I played (not really considered an MMO at the time) was Graal Online. There was literally nothing to do after doing the few quests available so most of the players just goof around or make sparring events or what not, so in that sense it was somewhat similar to Nexus.
I went back to it a bit and noticed they have tons of player-created worlds and servers that the official game runs and endorse. So the game had a pretty cool community aspect for what it's worth if you wanna check it out. Sounds like, as far as games with good communities go, it's the Holy Graal. |

QUOTE (SilentS @ Feb 4 2014, 05:35 PM) Now now be nice. Besides as I said that was not intentional. Funny as hell, but not intentional. It only skill if I did that on purpose. Besides, most know I suck in PK events. I am better at annoying than killing there. I know, don't sweat it; I was just trollin' for lulz. |

QUOTE (Styledatol @ Jan 19 2014, 11:14 PM) I'm not, I just don't care for all the drama and political intrigue you guys got yourself set up with the rules and people fighting over what should be right and how a path should be run. People playing the game to have fun? imagine that. What I mean is that another player shouldn't be able to automatically re-dial one into a path because that person was all hunky-dory with him/her and, similarly, (s)he shouldn't able to effectively prevent one from participating in a major part of the game simply because that person wasn't all hunky-dory with them and/or maybe was even a "dick" to them. |
