QUOTE . do you REALLY need a warrior? I think not... Sure, the new spells helped even out PC v. NPC subpaths, and overflow was a nice addition, but I don't think overflow balances warriors out by any stretch of the imagination.
In the higher levels, rogues can't hold a candle to many warriors. Rage 6 and overflow do them in. In the lower levels, warriors can't hold a candle to rogues. Poets harden body is the most broken spell I've seen throughout most any Onling RPG. Poets don't need attack spells. Poets just need a curse at a lower level as to make themselves useful in a hunt Pre-70. With the removal of pesitlence from carnages, I think mages are fine. QUOTE It's easy to kill a poet. Mages are the ones who need to be weaker. Drugs are bad |

QUOTE the Forsaken has an incredibly hard applacation to complete, and no other clan except K'urimja has anything like it. Applications are a waste of time. They give you no information that you couldn't already figure out by looking at someone's legend. QUOTE I'm assuming they still have skills because it's another hurdle to jump for "trials". That's all they are. They definitely aren't reasonably profitable, but that Nexon/Kru's fault. Crafting is the source of a lot of issues including botting, macroing, the whacked out economy, etc. |

QUOTE This is just an idea for the judges and archons, if someone is caught using these kind of programs kingdom ban them. Then they can't put there cheating to good use... they can't enter events, pk, goto the marketplaces, etc. All they could do is continually hunt in... mythic nexus haha. Then they'd just sell leeching services (or leech their alternate characters) to people who didn't cheat. In which case, they are still profitting from their cheating. Solution - If you can prove without a reasonable doubt that they are auto-hunting then block then ban the account. That way Kru has the potential to keep a customer (if they choose to come back) by not IP-banning them. As sad as it is, the solution (if ever reached) will not EVER deal with permanent expulsion from the game seeing as this causes the profit margin to diminish. |

QUOTE What do these programs do for you? Are they that big of an advantage other then walking faster?
Many of the old "hacks" have been fixed such as changing path, travelling to maps that you shouldn't, walking through walls. In other words, yes. I don't know what Kru has done, if anything, to fix the problem. |

QUOTE If you wish to talk about things that cheapen the gameplay then look at polearms.
At least DM and I actually agree on something. I guess I'm just thinking of the top 50 characters. The ones with potential to one-hit entire rooms. Although, I suppose it is arguable that the ability for them to do so wouldn't be over powered due to the increased experience costs. In any case, room attacks would have to be relatively weak, otherwise you're just asking for a ton of trouble. |

QUOTE My point really is that a room attack for classes is long overdue.
Nexus isn't ready. You said it yourself. "...is in a very sorry state". Too much would have to be changed. Besides, why add full room attacks? To effectively cheapen the entire game with one spell? How about more spell patterns that take strategy to use instead of "omg I wunt 2 pu5h teh one button & make all bad things g0 away" |

QUOTE Gemcutting is now also. No argument, Jewelry made a huge and good difference.
It really did, but Ally is right. Gemming is worthless until legendary, and it takes a good bit of cash to get there. I've seen Chaoz/Ailin and his alts running around. It looks like he's made another more for geumcutting. |

QUOTE I like how everyone says Buy low sell high I usually find whatever is selling cheap and available. I remember going through six old daemon hearts in under a week for a total profit of over 2m. Moon armor used to be great to make money off of. People get desperate and sell it for closer to 2.5m. The few hundred thousand per sale doesn't seem like much, but it definitely adds up. QUOTE whats the point in the gambling in the first place if your not making a big profit Thank you. |

QUOTE Regardless, their survival depends on giving us updates. QUOTE Probably not, but you seem to ignore the fact that I agree that it's in their best interest to give us updates, just that it's not a requirement. You put heavy emphasis on the "blind" part. I'd say you require things that a necessary to survival. I'm done arguing with you, Halome. If only the geos had spent as much time on the Earth dragon quest as you do arguing in your own defense. QUOTE Can you say piaga No. I speak english. Is that more of the geomancer acronym roleplay? In any case, I'm still wondering what they'll be putting in the place of the sub-50 caves in Buya/Kug. Possibly new shops...I've even heard whispers of a new man. & ref. skills. |

QUOTE It's only good marketing that they give us updates. It's not at all a requirement. I'm not saying I don't want or like updates, I'm saying that I personally don't expect them as mandatory offerings from the company, just nice things they do for us out of appriciation for our patronage. Regardless, their survival depends on giving us updates. Can someone say "blind stubbornness"? |

QUOTE I agree that gathering materials, for the most part, is not so great anymore. That's an understatement. The woodcutting system has been mediocre since the change in the gathering process. The wool fields are overcrowded, but I still manage to get a few hundred in every night. Buy in low amounts if you plan on crafting. The 100 wool for 32,000 makes for a large profit when repeated many times as a grandmaster+ weaver. Other than that I always buy low sell high. Fastest was to gain money without actually doing any work. |

QUOTE I'm sorry but no it's not like government taxes. These games are more like a phone service, or cable service. Both services give you continuous service assuming you pay your bill which in most cases is the same price every month. What happens when your cable company comes out with a new movie package? Hmm...this is funny. You're thinking about this back-ass-ward. Kru WANTS to give us updates. Why? Because they are a business. They want to make their consumer happy, and they want to draw new consumers to their product. They do all of this to make money. Basically, our money goes to pay for additions, and we, as the consumers, should EXPECT those additions. QUOTE You pay most game companies a one time fee, in addition to the monthly service fee, for new things, everytime they come out.
Look through the Nexustk.com site all you want and look for where it says "free continuous updates". In the Terms of service it even says "You accept the client software as is."
We accept the content "as-is" because it's difficult for Kru to cover their ass if they don't include that legal phrase. Let's look at the situation from a different angle then, since you can't seem to get that simple fact through your hard little head. Even if our ten dollar a month subscription fee wasn't for new additions, the kruna item fees (which they make a killing off of) would be. If we, the consumers, were not paying for updates and additions, then the NexusTK client would simply be copied and played privately on a large scale. Either way, your logic is flawed, Halome. I understand how you THINK it makes sense, but there's a reason no one else on the forums agrees with you. QUOTE so they will be revamping the other caves for higher-level characters. This means new hunting/items for more powerful characters. Not to mention the plethora of new NPCs and areas to choose from when making new quests. I'm actually very excited about this. Looks like it's going to give the cities new growth that hasn't been seen for a while. This means the following caves will more than likely be replaced with something else: Buya Rat 4 Kugnae Rat 4 Buya Rabbit 9 Kugnae Rabbit 9 Kugnae Snake 14 Arctic Slush Ogres 20 Buya Fox 20 Kugnae Fox 20 Buya Sute 28 Arctic Snow Ogres 35 Buya Haunted House 36 Kugnae Haunted House 36 Kugnae Spider 42 Buya Haunted House - Basement 49 Kugnae Haunted House - Basement 49 ...I can't wait. |

QUOTE New things are nice, but unless it's a glitch or a bug, honestly we're not paying them for that, we're just paying for access to what is currently there. No, no, no. Who brainwashed you? Think of the ten dollar fee like you think of your taxes. The government has provided a service, more or less, for the people. The money the people must pay to the government is usually for upkeep, improvements, etc. If the government quit working on improvements and only kept things the way they were would you be happy and feel like the work they had done justified payment? Doubtful. If you must continuously pay, then the product must be dynamic. Static products require one time fees. Yes, we pay for access to the KRU servers, but the vast majority of our ten dollars a month goes to new updates, additions, and lunch for Mug. QUOTE Yeah, the roleplay story behind the game, not the graphics content. And the RP story has changed plenty. Dont need KRU for that though, we as players mainly can control that. If the players control how the roleplay element evolves (which is only partially true), then that leaves time open for KRU to make additions. There's no way around it, Halome...We pay for an ever-changing game in which things are changed, upgraded, etc. We don't pay a full ten dollars a month to take part in an interactive chat room (well...not all of us anyway). |

QUOTE(FireTiger @ May 7 2007, 03:06 PM) This is what I was talking about. I forget the story about it.. Now that I think about it I'm pretty sure that's something else all together. I've seen someone else do it recently...and they aren't around anymore. Ha |
