I know absolutely nothing about the Council and Boss portion of the ogre quests. Would someone mind posting some info to get me started. I'll try and take SS and stuff along the way to help Ally put a page together.

To get there: Get a radiant *** crystal (*** depedent on path, warrior blue, rogue white, mage red, poet black) Get through the gauntlet. The red squiggley dudes switch around randomly every 15s or so in there. If you aren't standing next to a squiggle and have the proper radiant crystal in your inventory when they switch, you get a PK death. You can't go past dead, it'll zap you back to the entrance. Council: Step 1) Die a lot. Bring crappy items (or, in my case, even more crappy items than what I usually wear). Step 2) Kill them in the super secret way 2a) The super secret way is to kill all members of each path within 30 seconds of each other. 2b) The paths are divided like so http://www.nexusatlas.com/60atlas/hamgyongcouncil.php2c) So the logical order is rogues, mages, poets, warriors 2d) When you are killing a path, weaken each member to sliver red, then everyone unload at the same time to hit the ~30 second timeframe 2e) If you don't kill all of the members of a given path within the time frame, they will regen some amount of vita, ranging from low red to completely restored. So don't let that happen. Step 3) Rejoice Other boss: Step 1) Get at least two buff fighters Step 2) Get like 6+ poets. Divide them equally among the fighters Step 3) Corner it with the two buff fighters fully equipped Step 4) Don't let people die, he sucks out their life-force and heals like 3m vita for everyone he kills like the evil tiger-zombie-clown he is. Step 5) Let the two+ buff fighters beat the living tar out of him for 15 minutes. Anyone who isn't one of those two fighters should be healing the fighters (Yes, even if you are a warrior. There's a good chance there will be some healout action.) Step 6) Rejoice Questions? Comments? Tips? -rattles tip jar-

Yeah. Or you can just find a warrior friend that's done with it and borrow their crystal. So far, they appear to have no other use besides for this quest, so there's really no reason not to lend it out.
The gist is that you kill those dudes in that cave, they drop a bunch of different kinds of crystals. You start with a faded blue, and then when you use it (with u) you get some sort of pop up that allows you to infuse it with the other crystals. I didn't do my own crystal, because I have mental capabilites on par with that of the average toddler, so I'm not too sure on the details. SinJackal had a good post on comm about the exact process. It might still be down there somewhere.

ty Sir! heres one post on Com, dunno how accurate it is QUOTE It seems like these are trends, but may be just luck:
1) If you are solo, you are less likely to get green and gold crystals (if any at all).
2) # of casters in the group increases chance of fighter crystals (blue and white).
3) # of fighters in the group increases chance of caster crystals (red and black).
4) Total number of drops increases with the size of the group.
Welcome to another cooperation area!

These posts are closer to what I was talking about: QUOTE Take what you will from this, I think there's some chance of a failure every time you attempt to merge them.
Crystal levels:
1. Faded 2. Dim 3. Pale 4. Glowing 5. Bright 6. Radiant
Some of my attempts:
Faded white + Orange = Both broke o.o
Faded white + Gold = Glowing white
Glowing red + Glowing white = White broke
Glowing red + Faded red = Bright red
Bright red + Faded white = Radiant white
I didn't record all of my other attempts, but I think it was something like this:
Faded white + green = Dim white
Dim white + faded blue = Pale blue
Pale blue + faded red = Glowing red
Thanks to DarkMaverick, Macaveli, and everyone else who helped me ^.^
-Mela
from DM: QUOTE Gold DOES NOT make it automatically Radiant.
To make my radiant, I did the following combo
faded color + gold + green + green = radiant
gold is only worth 4 and you need a total of 6 points
Also, I tried changing the color of a Glowing crystal and it failed, taking my color gem.
It sounds like DM has some experience, so I will defer to him. -Shines the DM signal-

I haven't participated in any of this in the slightest (afterall, I am banned), but it's pretty easy to see the pattern regarding the merging of the crystals.
These are the levels of the different crystals: Level 1 - Faded / Green Level 2 - Dim Level 3 - Pale / Gold Level 4 - Glowing Level 5 - Bright Level 6 - Radiant
The point is to combine two crystals according to their level so that they equal level six. For example, combining a level one crystal with a level five crystal, or a level two with a level four, or a three and another three. You can also merge weaker crystals with each other to make them bigger: level one with one, one with two, one/three, one/four, two/two, and two/three; these would all create a crystal of the fifth-level, or less. If you attempt to combine two crystals, and their total is greater than six, then the second crystal used will break. The second crystal that is used dictates the ultimate color of the merged crystal.
I don't yet understand how Orange works from what I've read. There's not enough information disclosed.
Correct me if I'm wrong, after all, I'm basing this solely on these posts.

Required level: Ee san?
Also, your description makes it sound like if I kill 1 mage, then take 10 minutes to kill second mage, then that would work as long as I don't attack any poets/warriors/rogues. But instead they just need to all die within 30 seconds of each other or so.
Also, unless mug has fixed it, right now only 12 people can challenge him at a time without GM intervention.
edit: Looks good now, nice job.

Looks good; you should also mention that a Green crystal is a first-level crystal and Gold is third-level.
Also, I don't think it's necessary to include all the possible combinations, since there is a basically a known method of how to create them. Instead of listing the possible solutions, you should make a note to list the impossible solutions, providing that it goes along with the rule of totaling to the sixth level or less; the only one I know of now is Melalye's Orange crystal attempt. I do think, however, that it would be a good idea to have a little section that gives examples of possible combinations, just to help quest-goers understand how the crystal-merging works.

You should link this on the quests page, maybe it'll help get more info since people will use it for reference.
