I help newbies alot because it's more fun that hunting. I've found out that most of the truly new players don't know anything about selling experience when they hit Level 99. They wind up getting killed and losing tons of experience. So I want to make a Nexfiles page explaining what each path should do. Obviously once you reach 99 you shouldn't hunt until you've sold. The rest of this post goes back to what I learned 10 years ago.

Warriors - max might, a bit of grace, enough mana to easily cast routine spells and the rest vita
Rogues - max grace, a bit of will, enough mana to cast cunning 2 and the rest vita
Mages - max will, a bit of grace, split between mana/vita with at least 1k more mana than vita to be safe
Poets - max will and grace, buy enough vita to survive a couple of hits and the rest mana

Does anyone want to put it better than that? My assumption is for people who don't know how to hunt higher caves, don't have great items or much money for repairs. The information here is also when most players were using dial modems. tongue.gif

Is there anything besides stats I should tell new 99s?

make sure to tell the new 99 wars/rogue to save 1bil exp to join cr/baekho (unless they are using PC subpath of course) ive seen countless examples of people spending all their exp and then having to hunt ox-sheep1 until they get back to 1bil.

Also be sure to mention that it takes 110 Might (I think) to wield a Polearm, for rogues.

I didn't get 99 with enough might to wield one, I had to buy some (if only a little) so I guess it goes for everyone else too.

It's important to know because for Rogues, they won't be able to get hunts without a PA.
