The problem wasn't that it was risque, rather there should be more risque and drug and alcohol references in nexus, the problem is that it was OOC. You all complain about justice being mean about swearing and drugs and herb pipes then complain about his naughty little story. Bleh.

I have never complained about the justice system. I have no problem with swearing, but I also have no problem with not using it in Nexus. I just save it for when I play WoW. smile.gif

I'm talking about the general population. What's the difference between using it in nexus and WoW?

In Nexus if I use it I goto jail? In WoW I can use it as I wish P= Other than that, there is no difference. I wouldn't mind seeing the profanity law abolished. >.>;

re: danlim story win

I think it's really sad how the judges DO NOT READ the entry before making their decision. It reminds me of this one time when a barbarian won a community-wide story contest where he/she included an alarm clock in their entry.

Thank god, they pulled the entry and I hope that in the future that the gods/judges actually READ the entry that they vote for.

I miss the old revels when good poetry actually won. I've entered a number of times and have a number of wins, but I don't really enter anymore because I want to give other people a chance to win (unless the topic is just too good to pass up). I do, however, offer my HELP with poetry to those who are attempting Revels. Few have taken me up on it though.

I don't think limits should be instated. Those who have multiple wins can choose for themselves if they want to stop to "give people a better chance" at winning. I'd like to think that if a submitted poem is good enough to be first, it shouldn't matter if I enter a poem myself, but it doesn't seem to work that way.

So... if you want help with Revels (ie/ some one to read and comment on your poem), I'm willing, just whisper me.

They consider that as potentially selling poems. If someone sends you their poem before sending it into the competition (or after, even), there is a high chance that you will be noticed doing this and BAM, welcome to the SCUM board.

The only thing I hated about poems was that no one seems to like ones that don't rhyme.

Why is that? Who knows. Maybe they think they're more cute if they rhyme. Personally, I hate it when my poetry rhymes and I wish for once it might win. Then again, maybe I'm not good enough.
