A discussion in the Dreams section got me thinking about the current "laws" about selling KRUNA items for in game gold/items....
Currently only a select few items in the Kruna shop are allowed to be "sold" for in game gold/items.
What do you all think about this?
Please consider carefully, as there are multiple things to consider/balance....
Would likely INCREASE overall KRUNA sales which MIGHT get us closer to "Free to play"
Would allow those with money in real life an "advantage" to become richer in game via selling Kruna for game items/gold...
Would allow those WITHOUT money in real life to spent on KRUNA the ability to obtain any KRUNA item they want with some good old fashioned hard work in game....
Thoughts?
I guess I'll share my own opinion while I'm at it....
I think if so many "packages" are going to be "fair game" for in-game sale/trade..... The door is already open.
I think if a player really wants a..... hmm... Toxic longcoat, for example - and doesn't have the money to spend on Kruna, why shouldn't they be allowed to find a player in game who will sell it to them for in game items/gold?
Now, I do realize most Kruna can't be dropped/exchanged/thrown.... And the packages of course - can be... Which is what enables them to be traded in game...
So I suppose this would require that ALL kruna come in a "package" and, once they are opened - they can no longer be exchanged/dropped/thrown.
Undecided.. leaning towards allowing it.
I support it.
But to add to Warik's post, before the rule was implemented I know kruna was sold occasionally and the buyer would pay the person the gold for the item, then the seller would buy it in the item shop and "gift" it to the buyer. Since this option is still there, it can still be done, just won't be enforced if your scammed because of the current law.
Also I don't remember a lot of kruna selling before the law was implemented, I don't know about now though.
Many people that know me in game knew I always bought kruna items for in-game gold. I was never reported and I managed to get atleast half of my kruna clothes this way. I think the last purchase I made was the sailor outfit package from the kruna shop for 800k.
Yeah, I'm aware that lots of people do it. I just figure if it's going to happen so frequently, and also going to be 'allowed' for some of the items.... might as well just open it all up and stop wasting time with a rule that very few people pay attention to =p
Originally it was allowed. In fact, I can't seem to find a law that says otherwise. I can find these laws though:

whats the difference from holiday packages selling in game gold for IRL money
lol... they make a rule and skip it for themselves every holiday, nice..
seems like they're better off doing this;
Make the game free:
add item shop exp items 25% 50% 100% gems that last 24hrs or something
add 1 - 99 instantly
and other stuff thats actually useful
Support. I'd never buy kruna, but I'd probably buy a coat I really like for 500k or whatever. Which makes it worthwhile for someone else to buy that kruna and the coat to sell, which in turn makes it worthwhile for kru to open it up.
I think that the only way it will work is to make kruna items bind-on-equip -- that way you can't just resell and resell and never bring more kruna items into the game.
I'm posting in hopes of getting this thread more attention so that more people at least take 2 seconds to vote in the poll....
Directly transferring KRUNA from one account to the other, no. The reason is because it makes more of a mess to clean up when player's accounts get hacked / stolen / whatever, especially now that a form of currency is involved.
Selling kruna items in-game? I don't see any real problem with it and gives a way for those without financial means to buy the items from those who have the means. It's possible that would increase kruna sales. But I think the game would need a much bigger population for that effect to be seen. Right now there's way too few players with far too much in-game money for that to happen.
