Who likes the old graphics/gameplay/community better than today? Just curious.

I know I do!

Back when Nexus still supported both clients, I thought I liked the old one. Then I noticed how many buttons, tabs, and menus it was missing.. and I changed my mind.

The game used to be better, but that's just about the way it's run.

I LOVE the old client, but I also like the new one. Reverting to the old client would just set Nexus back even further. At least in the position they are in now they could still possibly buy client upgrades from nexon.

New client has better graphics and not nearly as many bugs. I know the new client has some memory leak issues, but the old client was way worse.

I loved the graphics upgrade in new client, heck, its one of the reasons I decided to come back when it launched. Took a while to adjust for things like PK and such, but there was definitely giant plus-sides.

I don't want them to take a step back, some people may actually love the new graphics.

I do want them to make the old version available though like it was originally, except fixed.

Old graphics were more consistent but the new stuff is defiantly better looking. Best solution? Fix the current maps so that everything flows a little nicer. Might be a heavy task though, I think even Baram has a lot of pixelly areas.

MOST of my best memories are from the old client... But as I sit here and think about them - I realize they had nothing to do with the which client they were from but everything to do with the individual people and the way the game was operated overall.

Going back to the old client for the graphics would be a step backwards. I would not want to see this happen.

I do, however, admit to missing SOME of the old graphics (Faerie light, Rogue armors, Sevenleaf sword, Flameblade, etc)... But honestly - graphics overall? New client is better.

Going back to the old client would be super-dumb.

Like Rachel said, if they did, you'd quickly come to realize how many of the new features you're used to.

It would also involve getting rid of Kruna entirely (like KRU would ever even entertain that idea), and subs, and mantles. People already whine about the lack of unique graphics, imagine if we lost all of the graphics for Vortex Items, the higher level Wisdom clothes, etc. etc.... It just doesn't make sense.

That being said, I do wish I could get my old face back....

There are a few small things about the old graphics that I like. Some clothes, like poet robes, looked way better, though on the flip side I'd say mage clothes look better now. And in general, the old graphics had a certain charm about them that was lost with higher res and detail with the newer graphics. To me, my characters always looked better with the old client compared to how they look in the new one. I preferred the old client when it came to carnages because I feel like you didn't have to look around the screen nearly as much to see what was going on around you. I think the new client makes it a little harder to keep track of everything going on, but that might just be me.

I don't think any of that overrides the benefit of the new client though, especially as the game progresses in age. Aside from just the graphics, the new client just offers more functionality. I know when the client still gave the option to use the old or new graphics, I was pretty much consistently using the new graphics and used the old one only to test a few things. The resolution increase really helps as far as looking at the screen every day as well.

Some people who felt that the original rune helm graphics looked like swastikas and got the company to change it might disagree with you.

I wasn't one of them, just saying tongue.gif

I've got my own credit card. tongue.gif I voted don't care because while I personally preferred the older graphics, I wouldnt want to go back to an old game where everybody had to wear the same thing. I also like the new options it has opened.

Sad thing is, with the old client, most of the graphics weren't being used. Someone popped open the client a long time ago and found a bunch of unused stuff.
