We aren't happy with what we have because KRU has always promised they will give us more, yet they break these promises often. It is sad that people have to rationalize why they are complaining. We all have a right to complain to KRU because we are all paying for their service. Whether you expect new additions or not, the point is that when they tell us something is going to come out, and then they don't release it until YEARS later, they are doing something wrong. If KRU never promised updates, then it would be different. Everyone complaining for new updates would be just complaining with no basis. However, the players have paid for a service that KRU advertised for (like that new area in the newsletter) and they have not provided it. This obviously angers people. It is true that people complain continuously, but they have a right to. They are paying money for this game. When a service does not live up to its expectations, people will always complain. It is nice that there are new additions to the game and that the GM actually cares now, but these facts do not suddenly resolve the massive gaps in the current gameplay. It is not the players responsibility to make the game enjoyable. That is equivalent to going to the movies and the screen just saying "Hmm.. imagine a really big fight scene here... we couldn't afford to make one now..." Nevertheless, people will still play Nexus. KRU definitely knows this. If the people who have complained throughout the years had actually done something about it (like quitting) then Nexus would be left with players that do not complain. We can surely see this is not the case. It is often irrelevant the quality of the updates when people decide to come back. At most, they are excuses to come back and seek what they enjoyed before. If KRU disappeared now but Nexus stayed up, people would still play because they are so emotionally invested in this game. This, along with their tiny staff, is why KRU/Nexon is not know for following through on their updates. QUOTE(Halome) This isn't like WoW or Guild Wars where they put out the game and said "We're going to be releasing new packs with these games every X amount of months/years" And even then, people have to pay for the expansion packs. We're just paying for the same service, every month. That doesn't include new stuff. There was never a promise when you first downloaded or first regestered that said you would get new things, you just took the game, as is, and play it. You are correct. They never said they would give continual, scheduled updates. However, they have mentioned a lot of updates that we have never received (pets, han, that weird game). If they had not continually done this, along with delaying the release of other areas, people would not complain about these particular things. I'm sure they would find something else to complain about. |

QUOTE(Pyogenes @ Apr 23 2007, 08:29 PM) I miss the old moglhi bow I don't. Now THAT was the worst. One of those was really annoying. 2 would make you mad. 3 would make you want to rip your ears off and mail them to KRU begging them to stop. |

QUOTE As was RP, since it's actually increasing that's another good thing. Roleplay increasing? I'd have to disagree with you. =p |

QUOTE(solman @ Mar 7 2007, 05:10 PM) Bottom line is, nothing computer generated is ever random. You can and will figure it out if you spend the time on it.
Yes, but the time you spend on it could be near infinite. A room full of monkeys randomly hitting a typewriter will produce a work of Shakespeare's if you give them enough time. But that doesn't mean anyone is going to find out how to crack the rabbit races in this lifetime. Excluding any hacks that may arise. Stabme, that is exactly what I was thinking! I have no idea why people would think that nexon would put some different modifying factor into the races. How would increase the player-base? It would just be a waste of effort and lord knows nexon hates wasting their effort... Solman if you are not willing to explain this mystical ilbon theory then stop mentioning it. You can not use something as proof if no one knows what the heck you are talking about. |

QUOTE(TaiPatron @ Dec 28 2006, 03:37 PM) Wow, why not delete the whole topic then Leonis, the topics name IS FUDGE COOKIES. So it was xpoetx's decision to make this topic fudge cookies.
There is a difference between considering her decision and just shouting FUDGE COOKIES in every post. I left the topic for the former to continue. In the future, if you have a question, ask me in a PM. =) Leonis |
