Just got down to my new school. When I load nexus it goes to the screen 'Entering the nexus... May take a few moments' Than that dissapears and the screen goes black.

cisco clean access
windows vis 32b
symantec endpoint protection

I tried it with turnin off symantec completely and still nothin changed so I dont think its this annoying new virus software/firewall they made me download.

appreciate the help wink.gif

Your school is blocking the port.

...your best Emmy-winning crying scene to the school network admins that your life is ruined unless they open the necessary port to let your computer connect to the Nexus servers.

I'd go into other ways but they have all been explained in other "HALP my school blocks Nexus!!" threads.

I had the same problem 2 years ago. There's nothing your school can do about it because it's being blocked on an ISP level.

If you can somehow get your school to some how get their ISP to figure out why it's being blocked, than you'd accomplish more than I ever did.

But considering I had it go as far as the Administrator of the entire IT department for my university installing Nexus on his computer and still not being able to figure out for 2 weeks what the problem was, I bid you good luck.

What school do you go to, just curious. We had clean access, although that's not really the issue. Depending on where you live, I could give you some tips on what to to.

oh, and you still owe me 2m.
