QUOTE (AceoStar @ Nov 10 2008, 02:40 PM) Yep. And when you fail to be unfair to that someone, it ends up looking like Its not what it looks like. It's what's true. Teragg and Metora may not be buddybuddy. But they have spoken about things other than justice. Whoever reported, the most that can be done is to send a letter to the Justice Archon saying you believe the case was handled unfairly as the Judge who took the case has a past relationship with the person that was reported.

I don't know enough about either of them to be able to comment on it directly, But I'm fairly confident that if any upstanding citizen were to have the same issue brought to light, that the same thing would happen. Not saying its fair, but just that I don't think a personal relationship with Teragg is required.

the problem that will always exist in such a fantasy society as is presented in nexus- is the complete big brother is watching you mentality. it's absolutely ridiculous that at a judge's discretion-- they can choose to bend laws for certain people. i'm appalled at the game masters for implementing and continuing this shoddy system we call justice. QUOTE (darkmaverick @ Nov 10 2008, 03:35 PM) Oh come on......he was obviously making a joke and not being serious. Do you really think someone should be jailed for that?
Sure, in the past I'm sure tip would have jumped at the chance to jail someone for any little thing, but that doesn't mean they should have been jailed.
I agree that rules should apply to everyone...but this sort of thing is exactly why the Justice system is terrible. In order to be "fair", you'd have to be unfair to someone eventually. You don't see the point here. Joking or not, anyone would be jailed for even joking...even if let's say Gorgax was to say: "lolz guess what [content removed]" Then like two seconds later say "Oh of course I'm j/k." It doesn't matter...the point is this was handled very unfairly and biased to Metora. Yes I do believe someone should be jailed for it 100%.
Reason for edit: attempt to reveal archon identity

While I think that law is utterly stupid~ I do find it a bit unfair; I mean imagine if Gorgax or even -I- had said something like, Blackh has 4 archons and jails everyone~ even in jest, there's no way the case would have been dropped :X and I would be jailed without a doubt~ But yeah~ I don't have many thoughts on it besides that it's unfair to the max~ `Chiki

QUOTE (Corrosive @ Nov 10 2008, 03:24 PM) I agree 100% with DM here, you're all being ridiculous. You keep brining up the idea that if Gorgax said the same thing he'd be jailed immediately.. Supposed Gorgax DID say what Metora did but he wasn't jailed, ask yourself if you'd still create this topic? Somehow I think not.
Metora was obviously referring to what someone else implied regarding Kimberlee and was making a joke out of it. The person who reported him was griefing in an attempt to get Metora jailed.
Grow up a little bit and talk about something more worthwhile.
-Corr Dude. We're all impressed with your ability to juggle tons of balls in Nexus but here itll get you nowhere. Its not a matter if Gorgax may get jailed for saying the same thing. He would be jailed. We can use an example. Overdrive was jailed for just refering that someone was friends with an Archon. Metora joking or not actually said that someone was an archon. The case against him should have been handled the same way as it was with Overdrive. Jailed or at least [Content removed] warned. Dont act like a pretentious prick. Even you can admit that if any person in Outcasts would be jailed for saying that same damn thing.

QUOTE (Corrosive @ Nov 10 2008, 03:56 PM) I also feel the person who reported him is an obvious griefer and shouldn't be wasting judge's time on such cases. You do know that 95% of the cases on the justice board are those of griefers, right?

Maybe they should make a "Crying Wolf law". If your reports are deemed griefing in nature 3 times, you are unable to report anymore crimes

After reading the information. I would have to advise you to stop being a lil [Content removed] about it and move on.

I'm going to be forthright and say that reporting that was out of context.
With that said, had I seen someone like Gorgax, Blackh, or any other number of 'not in the in-crowd' types say it, they'd be jailed on the spot.
The problem here isn't that Metora wasn't jailed, but that others have been jailed for the same thing, when they shouldn't.
Autonomy + Power = Abuse of Power.

QUOTE (AceoStar @ Nov 10 2008, 03:01 PM) That seems to be taken a bit out of context. Obviously he was referring to what people have been saying about her, but others have probably been jailed for the same. The thing is it doesn't matter -- if I went and said [content removed] -- I would be jailed. Instantly, and I know that for a fact. So obviously this isn't fair treatment, whether he was joking or not, you're not supposed to joke about those things. Btw I love how me and my baby blackh are always the ones people use in examples we have become martyrs my love we can die happy now.

QUOTE (Blackh @ Nov 10 2008, 05:08 PM) Speaking of unfair jailings. Last time I talked to Teragg he said if he had to deal with me and Inzan again I'd get banned SO I'M TELLING EVERYONE NOW.
That disgusting human being reported recently me for saying "Disgusting" right next to him a few times so if I get banned this is why. Also I'm going to ruin some IRL's. This sounds like a humerous sarcastic post, but it isn't. We're seriously like crazy people with M-16's in the basement. Give us a reason. Plus, we know that Inzan is now an elementary school substitute teacher. I will be contacting all of the elementary schools in america in order to get him fired from it, I promise you
