At what point does a game cease to be a game and become a job?

Come on Yan, that one was obvious.

I'd love to have one of these done, but I can never figure out which time period's Mirado is the "real" Mirado...

Honestly, I think it'd be old graphics, heh.

Good god, Ace. I literally just figured out your avatar.

gg me.

On-topic, is the only new item in-game the sickle? Or have they added new items to gather as well? Someone mentioned rice, is that true? =p

Also, is there a reason to farm now? Are there more cooking recipies and such?

There is no excuse for adding entirely non roleplay items in the item shop, none at all.

I'm okay with the wings. Some muse killed a giant bird, made wings, started to make 'em commercially, whatever. It's when we get to these visors, sunglasses, and scuba crap that I draw the line.

You can't roleplay wearing flippers and a scuba mask. You can pretend to, but when it comes down to it, it's just like roleplaying someone who thinks he's from a mythical place called "New York" in the future.

This thread has been the biggest cluster%&$@ of people not reading the original post ever.

Actual content: I like anything that gives graphic diversity, I'm sick of seeing wind, sun, han coat, pirate coat when hunting.

And I don't really acknowledge the item-shop items as being there... It really gets on my nerves that you can't get kruna in-game somehow. I refuse to pay extra cash for nothing.

Well, it's really the same thing... Your formula shows total damage after increase, mine shows just the increase. =p

But yes, to be most user/newbie friendly, I suppose your formula would be less confusing.

I remember awhile back there being some number like "2001 you could add to the end of the name of a NexusTK shortcut in the properties screen, does anyone remember what it was, or what it did?

Grah. I was thinking of dropping some vita so I could be max celetials, but that would take about 4 divorces..

And I just don't know if I like the thought of losing stats, period. I rarely hunt on Mir, any stats I have are important.

Does anyone know how to figure how much vita or mana will be lost if you don't have the experience on you?

All the testing I've done shows that it's just:

((damage leftover)*.05)/(number of creatures hit)

So, basically, any extra damage dealt gets a 5% increase and is split evenly among all targets hit.

I've tested this with one target being overflowed onto, and with two, same results.

Though it's possible overflow has changed since it's inception.

There are no more "Non-Rage" characters anymore, except the Do.

Also, your signature is worded horribly. Go ahead and take out that first "even" in that sentence. It still doesn't make much sense, and still isn't funny, but at least then it's grammatically acceptable.

BEST SOUNDS IN NEXUS, EVER:

Worst sounds:

Perhaps in all that training that must have been undergone to become so eloquent and verbose in the english language you missed the update that basically does exactly what you ask.

Simply navigate your way to your f10 page, click the first checkbox button entitled "Simple Click", and enjoy!

Here's what it does: Push your para key so the box is around your character. Now click something once. You will notice the box is gone, and a message now glimmers thoughtfully from your status box, telling you either "You cast Paralyse" or "You can't cast that".

Yes, that's right, simple click makes it so you cast spells in a single click! No more constant keytaps, you can just CLICK on the mob once!

Lots of people don't like to use the mouse for paraing, but it's helped me a ridiculous amount.

If you don't set, learn to set. People say it's too much work, it's too hard, I don't like it... But honestly, in the end, it's easier to set than just mass spam para across an entire room. When trioing, I don't even para the things outside the diamond. I just concentrate on the set itself, meaning I'm only paraing/blinding 8 maximum mobs; much easier than 40+ in a room.

Not only that, but setting is the single best experience gain you can manage in a single action. No other choice will cripple experience so much as the choice not to set, excepting perhaps the choice to not use a polearm.

By choosing not to set, you are choosing to gain much less experience, choosing to para a much more difficult way, and choosing to make it less fun to hunt with you.

Imagine how many of a mage's keystrokes are just arrow key presses... That's how many you'll be removing altogether if you use the mouse. Also, I find the response time is a lot better using "3(click)4(click)...2(click)" for unpara/zap/para than "3(enter)4(enter)...2(enter)"

The only time mouse para isn't better for me is when fighting oddly-shaped mobs, such as the horse cave or bandit cave, where their protrusions make clicking the one you want rather difficult.

About. Has the spell changed since? In that case, yes, my results would now be incorrect.

Then explain why my bladestorms were doing considerably more the other night when I made a BS set with sleeps as opposed to a diviner I was hunting with making them and trancing?

Now, I'm not saying it has no modifier PvE, I said it had little to none. I never got to testing it that much there, but it does not have the same modifier as sleep traps, I know that much for sure.

What I do know is that you almost never whiff on a slept mob, so I was using it a whole lot leveling up some newb in sheep. Get the sheep to black, then the newb takes forever to kill it, so I'd slap a mass trance on it, bam, instant hit. So, I started just using it whenever while they were swinging and watching the vita, it never dropped noticibly more than when they hit the mobs without trance.

BIOFo, not all creatures have the same vita. Your argument doesn't prove a thing. Sometimes I BS the same mob into the same set of mobs, and they're all in low red. Sometimes they're barely out of yellow. No other variables. I ain't saying it doesn't have ANY modifier, just that the modifier it does have is not very noticible.

I've done lots of testing, it wasn't anywhere near sleep/doze's modifier, if any at all.

Hahaha. Oh, the nexus talks we had.

It was Aaron who got me into nexus. I remember asking him what he was playing, and he was trying to explain it to me, being a hardcore newb himself... Actual quotes from that conversation:

"So, what, it's a medieval-type game? Like, knights and castles and crap?"
"No.... Not really...."

"So... What's the best weapon in that game?"
"Uh. I think an Iron sword or something."

Anyway, I made about 5,000 nubs that got to level 10, with various variations of "ProfOakX" etc. I really liked professor oak from pokemon for some reason.

After about... Oh, I dunno, a year of only playing on the weekends at my dad's house (My computer wasn't good enough for nexus. In 1999. It was about 4 years old then. =p), I finally convinced my mom to register me, and PrinceDarien was born. I was also into Sailor Moon at the time. My ONE goal was to get retribution and a poet whip. That's it. I think I had KoLD play on PrinceDarien and get me to that level.

Anyway, time went by where I didn't play, and I came back and created a new account for whatever reason. Kamibakasan was shortly born, my first poet. I was a retard with naming, still.

Luckily, when about a yuri later it came time to make my rogue, I happened to have a pencil laying about, 'lo and behold, Mirado was born.

The rest is stupid.

Well, it's also one of the hardest way to get money, as you HAVE to be a Chung Ryong who is Rabbit2. You can almost be out of Rab2 after spending 99 experience.

But yeah, I've been slowly leveling up a warrior to do just this. Not only is it fast, it's also relativly fun for me.
