I am currently Il-san, and it is nearly impossible to find a hunt with someone outside of my scope of close friends. But thats for another topic under a different heading.

Find a mage and go Duo Flower LR; don't even need a poet to be honest.

I have a question though, and it's really important: are any of the Muses hot IRL? cool.gif

Would still like an answer to this :'(

On topic though(?), I've said it before, but there's still a number of little things I like (or liked) about Nexus. Certain game mechanics, and the sense of community it brought - although since the community runs aspects of the game, it's led to a lot of tension over the years. Still don't think I've played any game or MMO quite like Nexus, and for that, there's no way I'll forget about it.

Still couldn't ever bring myself to play the game again though. After all, all my characters have been purged, thanks to KRU and their wonderful decision-making.

Well it's a good thing it's very easy to find people to party with and hunt with in Nexus right now as long as you're over level 99. I know you're very jaded about Nexus as we all are to some extent but Yan you haven't played in years it's silly to comment on the state of the game, you've been out of touch for a while.

Oh? So you're trying to tell me that if I was either a warrior or rogue who dont 1-hit caves and saged for a hunt I'd get one almost instantly? I may not have played this game for nearly 8 years, but I dont need to play in order to know your statement is full of it.

But of course if I'm wrong and warriors/rogues of any stat can get hunts easily that dont involves their personal little cliques past Il san then I'll stand corrected. Anyone wanna correct me?

The whole reason Kru did that was to shamelessly attempt to get unregistered players to register for a month to save their character and make a quick buck for 1 month. Of course I didnt care enough to play along with such a stunt.

This might be a dick thing for me to say, but you could always solo. It might be slow, but it's still hunting.

Which would have worked better if these purges coincided with much more interesting events.

Someone else said that this game is like a little tea shop with a dedicated small patronage that keeps it profitable. Nexus is more like an old run-down bar that has seen better days and better crowds. Sure, its making enough to justify the low cost of keeping it running, but its never gonna grow beyond that if the owners dont care.

Nexus needs a bar rescue.

That's like telling someone who's stranded in a really small town with no public transportation, on his way to his home about a hundred kilometers away in the city, and is trying to call every friend/taxi service and/or flag down every passing vehicle for a ride, but they're respectively not answering and stopping, that he could always walk.

Yeah it's really not that hard to get a hunt. Maybe not instantly but when did you ever instantly get a hunt besides when everyone in the game was weaker? Even then you didn't really. People would sage for hours to get hunts in mythic going even when we were buffish because CW would steal the buff poets and go take on Horse 3.

Courtyard and Gogoon have opened up hunts for low stat people immensely, it truly isn't that hard anymore. The only thing that's hard to find a hunt on at this point is probably a Vortex3 mage who doesn't 1-hit, and even then you could take a little bit of a dip in exp and go set for someone in Gogoon.

Post-99 low stat level was always easier to find hunts compared to post Ee/Sam san Vortex 3 stats even before all these new caves appeared. It was the same even decades ago, primarily because lower cave dont require 1-hitting or overflowing to be effective.

It's not the players fault. It was just a terrible game design in general.

I'm not saying there aren't massive flaws with the progression design in this game, everyone knows that, a lot of people still find it fun despite that. Enough people to make it to where it's not that hard to find hunts.
