Anybody else having propblems with this 'patch'? Im running vista(I know I know). I get a run time error.
<b>If you have Vista:
We received this from another player with the same problem and this is how they got it to work.
"I don't know if this is happening to everyone with windows vista, but with both my computers that have that os wouldn't run the auto patch or manual patch or even connect. I had to right click on nexus, go to properties, then click compatibility tab and check the box next to "Run this program as an administrator". After doing that everything worked fine."
In order to solve NexusTK problems on any version of Windows Vista, including screenshot-taking ability and patcher problems.
One-run fix (for patcher):
Right click on NexusTK shortcut, and press "run as administrator".
Permanent fix (for patcher and screenshots to always work):
1) Locate NexusTK application
C:/program files/Kru/Nexustk/ by default
2) Right-click on executable "NexusTK" and select "properties"
3) Select "compatability" tab at the top
4) Check "Run this program as an administrator", press "ok".
This will unfortunately nuisance users with an additional popup when starting up NexusTK. However screenshots and patcher will now always work.
<b>If you have anything else:
If you see a "Patch" folder inside the Nexon folder, delete it. Once that is deleted, try running the Nexus again and it should download the patch automatically.
If you do not see a "Patch" folder, we suggest that you download the New Client from our website to ensure you have the latest version. Uninstall any Nexus old client from your computer before you run the installation.
If you are running any third party programs while playing Nexustk, it will cause your client to disconnect. Any programs running in the background will cause your client to lag or disconnect. We suggest that Nexus should be the only program running if you wish to continue playing without disconnection.
Thank you.
