Nexus Forums _ Gogoon Journal _ Boss Question

Posted by: WereWulf Aug 23 2010, 03:11 PM

I've just returned to playing for a bit before school starts up again. I see new armors have dropped from Gogoon bosses and I have a quick question. -- Are the bosses only in the SamSan or higher cave levels?

Posted by: AllyGator Aug 23 2010, 05:03 PM

No they are in all levels.

The better question is does armor drop from all levels?

the boss that drops gogoon armors, the rhino boss, only spawns in the last room which is sam san+ the others can be killed by anyone though

Gotcha that answers the question then... only sam san+ get new armors. There probably wont be a 99 or ilsan armor seeing how only sam+ can kill the boss.

Those drops are like reimbursement to the Sa players for the most part since we have to sacrifice both our Wind and Sun armors. The Gogoon armors are basicly a merge of the two. Nothing really substantial in increase. Same AC as Sun, but with Wind stats on it. If anything this should have been a good Ilsan armor to start with.

I think mages and poet gogoon armor get -1 more ac then sun

According to NA, the Gogoon armors for mages and poets have the same -ac as quested Sun armor, just like mine is for a warrior. This is a good thing, because it allows for a combination of the two standard armors, yet doesn't kill the market for the boss-drop armors. I am very pleased with my Juggernaut plate.

It's not the same as quested sun armor for every path. It has identical ac as dread armors for their respective paths. Mages dread garb has -1 ac better than sun garb, and so does the mage gogoon armor.

I stand corrected; just checked every path's armor. Wow, mages caught a nice break, and poets aren't bad either. Both classes have just 1 more -ac to gain by buying the sun armor drops. Think these armors hurt the market for those sun armor drops?

Sun mantles are 25m each, drapery is 65m, dread robes are 40-50m, dread gown is like...70-80m. poet gogoon armors are 8-12m. Female mage gogoon is like 3m...male mage gogoon is 5-6m. Sun clothes are around 50m.
