Does anyone notice the prizes coming out of 5 coin boxes seem to be shifting away from vortex and woodlands items?

Has anyone noticed more of the pirate bracelets being handed out now over vortex/woodlands or is it just me.

I feel like they are tweaking what people are getting from these boxes.

Thoughts?

DM they are also (I HOPE) watching the amount the game is growing at the moment and base how much their handing out off of the amount of new people.

They are giving away items, that are needed by everyone , but were controlled by the strongest players with the most connections and money. In fact, buy and sell boards have been seeingg 30-40+ posts per day almost 400 people at points in the weekend.

If everyone in community took a moment to just help guide a new player, or be cool with new people, then more of them would stay.

I love seeing Comm groups and sub paths / clans hosting events in tangun also its easy for people to get to and it is a great way for new people to interact if they roll through.

Also,

It seems like the boxes are following a trend.
IF you are lvl 99, you have a high probablity to get ilsan+ items,
If EE you will likely get Ilsan and Sam san,
If Sam san you get Sa San and EE san items.

I think this model is in effect to try to encourage people (with popular hand and sub acessories) to play, and or level up characters outside of their normal mains.

Think about it:
-I have an EE warrior , 99 mage, 99 poet, 99 rogue.
- From my EE boxes i get Sam and Ilsan items.

The outcome of this is it will make me want to level those 99 characters, level my EE character instead of getting good items for those characters, then leaving them stagnant.

Is my logic far off?

I can understand giving away sub accessories and other items like that away but the vortex weapons should have been super rare to get if at all. Those weapons aren't needed for everyone and are just for aesthetics.

Your statement should have then included all the level 86 sun armors since those are actually needed by all but they are being controlled by the strongest players with the most connections and money.

Is it really though? The diamonds are nice I guess but everything else is kind of just a vanity item. Vortex weapons aren't very good for anything anymore.

Maybe this is just their way of telling us they're about to release oh san by collapsing the vortex.

So interesting update this morning:

Server & Client Patch - August 26th, 2016

- MQs can be performed twice a day & two Daily Coins dispatched per day -- Is there a time limit on how often you can do the MQ? I got [Content removed] to do and probably don't have time to do MQ at opposites times of the day

- Woonsoo gives you an option to consume saved up MQs (No exp. or Daily Coins given with this option. Available for one month only) Further MQ rollover is removed. I guess this is the previous function of MQ where there's a formula for how far back you can go and get credit for past MQs; glad they added this back

- Experimental Kruna item: Experience Envelope that will hold and restore1 Bil. Exp., cost: 5 Daily Coins or 1 Big Malga, can be purchased from Woonsoo. Used to sell more Exp. than Max. Tradable (Nah...) This needs to store way more than 1B. I think it should store at least another max if not more.

- Experimental Kruna item: Fragile Orb of Mercenary Warrior, non group use, cost: 5 Daily Coins or 1 Big Malga from Woonsoo. (U)se the orb to summon and dismiss mercenaries. Very interesting concept. If they could develop a sudo AI that you could hunt with, poet for fighters and fighter for a poet, to allow them to solo or complete a group. This would be very interesting.

Curious to see how the mercenary thing works, but it could be a really neat concept.

If it's the system mug created years ago then the AI for the mercenaries is very good.

There was going to be a trial for Sa san where depending on your class you are put into a dungeon with several mercenaries of other classes and have to fight your way through a gauntlet of enemies.

Example: if you're a Warrior then you get assigned a Poet and Mage NPC; if you're a Poet you get assigned a Warrior and Mage NPC, etc.

I playtested the gauntlet and as I recall the AI was pretty good. The Mage paralyzed enemies for you, trying to even create sets while also lobbying Hellfires. The Poet kept you ASVed, Scourged enemies and healed you when your HP wasn't 100%. It was like playing with extremely talented players.

I can't recall the specific reason why it was dropped as a trial. I remember there was an issue with one of the NPCs, probably the Rogue one, which mug could not resolve.

Yeah I remember that, he had a group of pkers (If I remember it was like me, ssjgoku, taleen, and someone else that were there at the time) try to take them on. They were pretty tough and would auto asv and stuff.

Funny.... Just before Mug came into power I submitted a request that asked for the use of an AI system like that if it would be possible for a community wide quest. I dont have the notes on it anymore but a few path members drew up a request draft that would utilize it as an escort mission type. Long forgot the quest itself and the rewards, but at the time it was something we pushed upon. We were told it couldn't be done at that time after a while of talks with GM Kru and then it was dropped.

Well, I know for a fact that it was created on the test server. It was just never implemented into the actual game.

I suppose the quest could be considered an escort since you needed to keep the NPCs alive by the time you reached the other end of the map.
