QUOTE(SilentS @ Oct 30 2008, 05:40 AM) For me, I get enough exp to buy 200 vita exactly. When my stat cost went up the extra 2 mil per, exp went up an additional 4 mil. So basically when the change kicks in at Ilsan or whenever, it is 2(vita stat cost).
Ok so I checked out your theory and it seems to be correct. Thanks for the info. So......... I find it kinda lame that it is only based on vita rather than your highest current stat.... it doesn't seem to make sense that my barely Sam san warrior would get almost the same exp for a minor quest when his stats are 639/250 (not quite Sam stats), as my poet gets at 700/650 and Sa san mark. My poet is #243 on the power list, my warrior is #533, more than twice as far down, yet they both get almost the same amount because of having similar vita. The point I'm trying to make here is that this new setup favors warriors heavily, who spend most of their stat points on vita, and disfavors poets who normally have the lowest vita to mana ratio. If the exp was calculated based on the highest stat's cost, that would make much more sense to me. Really instead of being 2*vita cost, it could be vita cost + mana cost. I'm not complaining, just noting that it seems wrong.

It used to be only vita based when it first came out, but now it seems to have been changed to check which is higher or something, but it doesn't quite work as 2x exactly. My mana costs 318m per, and I just got 628m from a MQ (My vita costs 162m, so it's definitely not 2x that).
edit: Hmm, that doesn't work, either. Pyth is 3k/283k, and he only got 29.4m experience from his. I'm confused.

QUOTE(AllyGator @ Oct 30 2008, 01:13 PM) It should be a factor of vita + (2 * mana) = total stats
That would be fair no matter what.
Except to warriors of course.

Vortex is referring to the fact that warriors have to have the most extreme ratio in order to be effective. Since stat costs increase as your stats get up, a 3m/1m rogue has the same experience sold as a 3.58m/300k warrior. The rogue has a 5m total powerlevel and the warrior has a 4.18m powerlevel.

Did you do your minor quest during totem time? That would throw off your numbers as well because of the TT boost. I get an extra 30 something mil exp during totem. Not only that, there could be a slight chance that each path has their own formula now? But that could be just a wild guess.

Okay so I did more testing and the 2x vita cost thing isn't always the case... I'm still not sure what the real formula is. All the quests were done not during totem times.
Here are my results: ----------------------------------- Path: Sa san poet Stats: 704/640 Exp costs: 82m/140m Minor quest exp: 164m Result: cost is 2x vita cost, this fits with the earlier theory ------------------------------------ Path: Ee san mage Stats: 192/199 Exp costs: 30m/50m Minor quest exp: 100m Result: cost is 2x mana cost, this doesn't fit with the earlier theory Note: after this I figured the formula was 2x whichever stat was higher since my mage has higher mana than vita. If the formula really was this it should be changed so that mana is weighted to be 2x vita to take into account the double cost of mana, but after doing more characters I'm not sure this is the formula... read on. ------------------------------------ Path: 99 Rogue Stats: 46/23 Exp costs: 20m/20m Minor quest exp: 20m Results: below certain stats you only get 20m. ------------------------------------ Path: Sam san warrior Stats: 640/250 Exp costs: 74m/60m Minor quest exp: 148m Results: cost is 2x vita cost. ------------------------------------ Path Ee san mage Stats: 1mil/1.37mil Exp costs: 112m/286m Minor quest exp: 424m Results: ??? Not sure on this one. Double vita would be 224m, double mana would be 572m. Its not quad vita either, that's 448. So it seems at some point when your stats get high enough the formula changes or something?

Xevu is about 36.7/24.9 or somewhere around there and I get 20mil exp for MQ or 21mil during Totem time. You get a 5% increase in exp during totem time.

So, to summarize so far if someone has the stats v/m
if v > m, MQ exp is twice the cost of vita if m > v, MQ is experience is sort of twice the cost of mana, but not exactly.
