When I need to search, I like to do it as quickly and painlessly as possible. Therefore, I created a search plugin for StatAddict. It -should- work with both IE and Firefox, but I've only tested it with Firefox.
<SearchPlugin xmlns="http://www.mozilla.org/2006/browser/search/">
<!--
** Search provider for StatAddict v1.0
** Created by Zaventh
-->
<ShortName>StatAddict</ShortName>
<Description>StatAddict Search</Description>
<InputEncoding>ISO-8859-1</InputEncoding>
<Url type="text/html" method="GET" template="http://stataddict.com/user.php">
<Param name="name" value="{searchTerms}"/>
</Url>
</SearchPlugin>
I took the liberty of uploading on the NexusWiki server as well.
http://nexuswiki.com/w/files/stataddict.xmlJust drop this in your C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\searchplugins folder, for instance, and restart Firefox.
On a side note, a favicon.ico could really spice this up ( and the website
). If anyone has one I could add it to this as well.
