That seems to be taken a bit out of context. Obviously he was referring to what people have been saying about her, but others have probably been jailed for the same.

That's the flaw of the revealing rule. You can't jail people only when they are correct, so it must extended to all accusations. I mean, Kanak was pretty much asking for it, imo

So if I went around and said ____ has an archon, don't mess with ____ because I heard they jail a lot of people they don't like. That would not be grounds for a jailing?

oh don't get me wrong, Im not defending the decision in the slightest. The law should be held to the same standard across the board.

Again it doesn't matter it being taken out of context or not. The law is the law: 6. Revealing, or attempting to reveal the identity of a KRU or Immortal character. This includes all archons, royals, and event characters past and present. Likewise, mortals of former archons who reveal their archon's identity, abilities, or have disclosed Archon/KRU-only business tools to mortals (i.e. map maker) will face serious consequences. Whether you are right or wrong, saying what you think is the name of an Archon mortal character is a jailable offence (this includes chats in whispers).
Serious other: Immortals
Whether right or wrong, attempting to reveal the mortal identity of an immortal, a royal, a KRU-owned event character (i.e. Qantao), or KRU representative is a serious offense. Archons, past or present, will face serious consequences if they a) reveal their identity; B ) reveal information concerning archon-only subjects; c) reveal archon abilities; d) disclose Archon/KRU-only business tools to others (i.e. map maker).
These both can be found in game on the law board post number 144 section 6 and post number 163 laws clarified II
Regardless of it being taken out of context or not. Metora is not above the law he clearly just broke.

QUOTE (Gokku @ Nov 10 2008, 02:19 PM) After seeing the screenshot I agree that this was taken out of context and should not be ground for jailing. However, the same thing should have also applied for Kanak and sinJackal.
I would be sad if someone gets jailed over something like this, but it would be much worse if some do get jailed while others don't! Theres a few fundamental problems that this does address. Justice should avoid jailing characters whenever possible. But that does not mean that one person should get off for doing the same thing that another gets jailed for. While griefing should be discouraged, if a person reports a legit crime, even in a griefing situation, the law must still apply. As many others have said, precedents may be one of the only ways to help curb this type of activity.

QUOTE (AccntScrty @ Nov 10 2008, 01:35 PM) So Metora was reported for attempting to reveal an archon's mortal.
In the screen-shot sent Metora says outloud in sire-pit: "Apparently Kim [referring to Kimberlee] has 4 archons and jails everyone.
He dismissed this case as no evidence being reported of revealing the archons name. THIS IS AN ATTEMPT OF REVEALING AN ARCHONS MORTAL...Kim has 4 archons....WHO CARES if the archon's name was not released...so now we know Kim has 4 archons! Ok so it's ok to say outloud Conro has 2 archons HEY GUESS WHAT SARINA HAS 3 ARCHONS HERSELF!
I don't know how to post the screen-shot here if someone would like to tell me I will Oh come on......he was obviously making a joke and not being serious. Do you really think someone should be jailed for that? Sure, in the past I'm sure tip would have jumped at the chance to jail someone for any little thing, but that doesn't mean they should have been jailed. I agree that rules should apply to everyone...but this sort of thing is exactly why the Justice system is terrible. In order to be "fair", you'd have to be unfair to someone eventually.

I don't think the point is that he was joking. It's that if anyone else were to say the same thing (say Gorgax) they would have been jailed, no questions asked. It's clear Metora wasn't jailed because he is friends with Teragg.

And when you fail to be unfair to that someone, it ends up looking like QUOTE It's clear Metora wasn't jailed because he is friends with Teragg.
