I personally love Warrior. What do you?

Posted by: Falaris Jan 12 2010, 10:01 PM

I'm going to go with poet. I like the roleplay aspects of rogues more and did more in regards to that as everclear, but my favorite path to actually play and use in hunting/pk would be poet. I wish I had any ability left whatsoever for the rare time I felt like going to a carnage, but oh well tongue.gif

I like mages because my friend who introduced me to Nexus was a mage primarily and that was my first path.

I also love how you can vote for all four.

I voted for all except poet. Yeah I'm a poet! Playing a poet is fairly boring to me even though everyone loves having poets around and you never have problems finding a hunt.

I love mages because they are mini power houses. PK or hunting they can run away with the game. Given enough time there is nothing they can't do. KRU has gotten smart enough to fix the events so that mages don't own them anymore but in the past mages could zip through them easily.

Rogues are the best for boss hunting. They are essential for large groups needing sleep traps. Really good rogues can be the deciding factor in carnages.

Warriors are the tanks. With a poet they are nearly immortal. Even without a poet they are force! They only get bigger and bigger and can eventually solo almost anything...at least one or two of them. lol

Rogues, there's no other path which would allow me to successfully do as much without the need to bother other people. Bossing is a prime example but so is soloing to gather items and Rangers. wink.gif

Mage & Poet. I've been a caster-type of player forever. tongue.gif

Can't like Michike, that I liked being a Ranger at the time I was in the path. The circle being so close to all the groves, before the Nangen groves opened. Sheep field? Sure that was close by too. Also Rogues are very fun to play in for events and I have made a ton of money in Rat 1, but accidentally leveled to 98. I don't know about being a buff Rogue above Il san though, it just seems like a life of sleep trapping until incredibly huge 1 hit wonder stats.

LOL I did the same so I went on to max Rabbit 2 and made a ton on ambers and Mythic 2 bosses.

I'm really torn between mages and warriors. I love being a buff warrior though...I've never had a buff mage so if i ever get mine buff I might choose mage, but who knows!

Posted by: Euphoria Jan 17 2010, 06:31 AM

I chose mage because its the only path that isnt completely ruined by nexus's san mark trials

I couldnt imagine trying to get 1m mana as an ee san as a poet or 2m vita as a warrior

mages are the easiest to pk on doze ftw

if you can set you always get decent exp

Maybe KRU will read this and realize how bad rogues are. There is no reason to make a rogue unless (1) you like bossing or (2) you don't mind being a sleep trap zombie.

POET

It is so easy to find a hunt for the most part. You can solo stuff. i.e. mythic bosses/vortex bosses, shards and sleeping people in sire.

My original character was a rogue but when my brother made a warrior I made a poet so we could do things together. And thus I meow like poets the best.

Posted by: Skum Jan 27 2010, 06:02 PM

I prefer Poets....

Mostly because I've never bothered to get a Warrior to level 99, or a Rogue to Enchanted. I just got my first mage to 99, so we'll see how that goes...

Posted by: MainAttraction Jan 27 2010, 09:13 PM

Ranger. Oh wait that's Baram.

That's an awesome video.

Also, I notice that "Rogue" seems to be the most disliked path according to this poll.

I think this is because Rogues love to complain about their path and how unfair it is, but they oddly all continue to play their main rogue character... odd isn't?

Its a joke! Don't hate me! =P

Posted by: IamAmage Feb 19 2010, 07:27 PM

Mage... duh!

My second biggest character has always been a poet but only because people make me hunt with them =P

If I had the choice my biggest character would be a WARRIOR because they're so BA

But yeah... gotta go with mage

Posted by: Bobert Jun 13 2010, 11:08 AM

I love all 4, for all different reasons HEhe

Posted by: Ouned Jun 29 2010, 08:46 AM

ROGUES.

Ranger, Spy, Merchant, Baekho in that order.

So many of them.

Mages are really the only path since setting was enacted, where your skill (or lack thereof) can shine through.

outside of carnages that is.

Posted by: Iter Jul 15 2010, 01:26 AM

I find this poll interesting... Someone remarked on the low-standing of rogues, but I can definitely remember back in the day when the game was mostly Mages and Rogues, and Poets and Warriors were in the minority. But that was when there weren't too many players higher than 99... I guess things change.

I put Rogue. I first played a Poet but was always kind of bored. Once I made a rogue, I fell in love. I always have multiple Rogues on my account whenever I play.

Duels and fights in the Buya Rogue Hall had to have been the highlight of Nexus--in terms of gameplay/mechanics for me.

Posted by: Coolboyman Jul 15 2010, 07:43 PM

Always warrior for me. I tried making a poet once but eventually it got boring to me for whatever reason. Even though it involves more attention span than the warrior...

Posted by: Musoyan Jul 15 2010, 10:05 PM

If I knew what I know now I would have went Warrior.. but its far too late to change and I already have a sam poet. tongue.gif

Poet for me. I love being invincible, but I've always been a sucker for healers. Its just great knowing that I single-handedly hold the life of the group in my control. Knowing that my buffs make the difference, and knowing that with me, people feel brave enough to enter caves that they otherwise couldnt!

I LOVE MY POET

I like your summary smile.gif This is why I like healers too.

Poets will always be the best path in Nexus as long as there is no stat cap.

So how did it go?

Posted by: Aahana Jan 29 2011, 07:01 PM

I voted Poets. I always end up playing them, I've had lots over the years. They are tons of fun around Ee stats because of the giant variety of things you can do. Lay back and take an easy hunt where your 20k heal is more than good enough, or go into a harder vortex cave and struggle your ass off for amazing exp. I love the Poet subpaths too, they are definitely the best set IMO.

I love mage subpaths too but the gameplay is not my favourite. Mages are amazing, I wish I was more inclined towards them.

I like Rogues for the same reasons others do, the RP, the solo ability, getting drops and bossing, etc. They are really useful for that, and leeching little ones! And I love how between spells and traps, they can duplicate mini effects of almost every other path. (Amnesia/Blind trap to freeze mythic bosses, etc...) After about 200/100, life becomes dull and meaningless for a Rogue. If I work on one again I'd probably just max for ancients avatars and solo stuff for money.

I have never gotten a warrior to 99 but I plan to change that, I want a big buff one! They are so powerful and if you're geared with decent stats hunts are endless. So, that's my project now.

Posted by: Sedraxis Feb 1 2011, 09:27 PM

I am a little biased towards rogues.

I agree the warrior is by far the funnest group player to be. But if you want to solo, or not desireing to be in a group, then mage wins out long before rogue.

For me

Poet > Rogue > Warrior > Mage

I think my very first registered character being a poet is what kinda set me up.

I hate not feeling safe. As a Mage I feel so open to death, and that annoys me.
