Haha for real. Adam, high school's over, leave the unnecessary attitude at the door. You say it's not rocket science, but it's obviously not brownie mix either since everyone seems to be disagreeing on how it would need to be done.

I voted "other," to mean I would come back and give it a try if there was a revamp and not just a reset. From my response in the other topic: I think there would need to be a number of changes including: story, areas, and gameplay (stat cap, crafts, creation system, hunting, clans, subpaths, and maybe aethers).

Skum mentioned the length of time it took her to get 99, and while my 12 months' climb can't quite compare, I do remember the hardship to my first 99. What I would like to see though is a game in which players are not necessarily limited in their gameplay before they get 99. What if at level 10, your gameplay is more like what we've seen in the past at 50, and at 50 it would be a leap beyond that?

I think it's also important to remember that a reboot would not be exclusively for the debated "benefit" of the existing player-base, but a step in remodeling the game to market to a new generation of players.

Of course, there are probably less drastic means of fixing and rejuvenating the game (though maybe not as simple or clean as this), but that's a separate topic.

No.

And there is no way anyways they would ever consider the possibility of even doing such a thing. People put 12 years into this game, why would they just hit the big red button to make you start over? Keep dreaming boys and girls. Also I would like to add that if they did, they would lose a lot of customers and the ones that did want the reset would still be the same poor/weak ass people. The buff/rich players would quickly reclaim their title and in less than 2 years the game would be in the very same state as it stands right now.

People really need to think before they dream.

Obviously, it's all hypothetical. With KRU running the show, there's not even a fat chance in hell it would happen. That doesn't change the fact that it'd be best for the game WITH the necessary changes made.

Exactly, which is why they'd need to make the changes already mentioned in conjunction with such a reset.

First off, I would agree with the people that say KRU wouldn't consider doing this. Not because they're worried about upsetting their customers, but because they seem content with letting the game drag on in it's current state and making whatever they can until it finally dies. They can't expect new players to pay for a game like nexus, especially when a new player really can't expect to be able to compete with the tops of the game. If not completely reset, the game needs to be capped, or have an alternative way of gaining stats/experience that will help average gamers actually have a chance. If KRU actually took that step, along with a few other changes, they could fairly easily multiply the population, but they would risk losing a large portion of the customers they do have. In the end, I feel like the game will bring in fewer and fewer new players, and more and more existing players will eventually leave for various reasons. Nexus will die but KRU will be happy for milking the game for longer than they had hoped.
