If we want more players to join Nexus, we to need help in advertising it.
When will more people step up to more amazing videos like this one created by Jann?

Vini, when are you going to stop lambasting players for not doing what KRU should be doing themselves?

At this rate, if people are going to work on an advertisement, they should do it for the private server they are probably already playing.

(with that being said, Jann's video is pretty darn awesome..)

We could advertise in Times Square, still wouldn't end up with more permanent players. The game still requires people to spend 365 days to reach the rank of Sam San (assuming you hunt to those stats that quickly), it still requires people to spend 400 days to reach the rank of Sa San (assuming you do 1 MQ every day), it still has infinite stat growth which makes it impossible for a new player to catch up to long time players thus permanently alienating them from the community. It still has horrendous servers that cause people to spike for 3-4 seconds (at least) during carnages and events at least once a minute. It still has incredibly bad path balance where one path (mages) have almost no way to gain stats after a certain point unless they are getting leeched by a group of friends.

This is of course all second to the fact that the game costs $10 to play. People have no reason to pay $10 a month for a game anymore with so many great free options. Guild Wars 2, perhaps the second biggest MMO in the world to World of Warcraft, just went free to play. People don't want to pay a monthly fee to play a game anymore.

There is no advertising that can bring more than a few people in for a month or two before they quit. We have to accept that fact and understand that unless KRU goes through a massive change in business philosophy that it will remain around 150-250 players on at a time until the people who currently play are too busy with their out of game lives to continue to play anymore.

Private severs have had more success with advertising because their games are free to play and have a lot more interesting and dynamic content.

The fact this game has held on to artificial content gating via waiting a specific amount of days in order to even unlock it (and you better pray to god you never accidentally said a curse word!11!11!!) astounds me.

Other games do this kind of gating as a method of rewarding players with glamour items etc., not actual game content.
