My warrior I enjoy using a sword N shield in a grp cuz it kills faster and it leaves the mage to set for the rogue since they need sets more then me.. cuz when i hit r6 i just steal his sets anyway, But a Trio with a good Setting mage is the only time I use PA. (Of course im only like 393/156 so I don't know about the vortex3's yet)

On my mage I don't really care cuz I suck at setting tongue.gif i just para

On my poet I actually prefer to hunt with rogues more than warriors cuz they don't go to like 9% vita all the time so easier to heal and they are a lot harder to let die.

Don't have a rogue... yet so I can only imagine its nothing but PA...

But I think they should buff up the BLOOD and make DA not take all their mana, Also make them a new Invis at like Ee that has duration of 25s but does not uncast if you hit something only time it uncasts if you pick something up or if someone casts dispell. Just my 4 cents.

have you heard? That the bird is the word. BIRD BIRD BIRD THE BIRD IS WORD BIRD B B BIRD IS THE WORD DON'T YOU KNOW ABOUT THE BIRD EVERYBODY KNOWS ABOUT THE BIRD.

Wrong in only that you think hunting with a polearm is any different than a sword.

I like the second invis Idea, only make it il san because il rogues don't get anything. (ee have BS/ingress and sam has ingress already).

Amyways, back on topic. I chose other because most of the time I don't care what kind of hunt it is. Also, I feel that many aspects of hunting should be redone all together.

I fail to see how PA hunting is different than without. You can still vita on aethers, you just have to move. Actually, I find PA hunting easier to hit Assault sets, as long as the mage knows what he's doing. I still PREFER to not hunt with a polearm, but I admit it's much more effective.

I prefer PA setting just because it gives me something to do... In my spare time though I like to hop on my poet and duo some low cave with a warrior or rogue

QUOTE(MeduLLA @ Oct 6 2008, 06:57 AM)

Is he referring to DM? Aww....how cute!

Polearms are fun, but as a warrior and a poet, I find them quite boring at the same time. If I'm playing a warrior, of course I want to be up close on the enemy vita'ing the hell out of it, and on a poet I want the fighter to vita! Just sitting there while a fighter pokes away senselessly at mobs and being nothing more than an scourge wench...isn't very fun.

I always thought that the Polearm was designed for the Rogue. After all it was cool when rogues had flank and backstab added to cunning and could use a PA to it's full extent.

Who do you guys hunt with? Every warrior I know that PA's still vita's on aethers...

Diamond Sets.

That's the only way I hunt. Either trio or more people. I haven't really sleep trapping, but I did back then in Hunter2.

My personal favorite is just ambush+invis.

I'm not a big fan of being in a group or using a PA, I like knowing that taking down a boss was because of me and me alone.

Plus, I don't need to worry about rolling for a drop.

Lol, boss drops. The only boss drops worth the time invested need a group of atleast 5 or 6 to get.

As a mage I like(d) to set. PA+overflow on vita aethers.. whatever

As a poet I like(d) to not hunt at all (but I got his stats from people begging me) but I'd prefer duos over hunts.

As a warrior I like(d) to duo (I had a hard time hunting with other mages.. I'm very critical =P)

As a rogue I like(d) to... I dunno I only really wanted to get him max Ava for pk purposes. Otherwise, boring.

I guess it's all pretty much boring... and yet, why do I find myself here after I've been removed from the game..? =(

Heh, glad you always went easy on me tongue.gif Any chance at you comming back??

As a poet...duo with a warrior only. I find this the most challenging and enjoyable. Keep me busy!!

As a mage...trio. My connection isnt always the best for a mage

As a warrior...dunno. I grow bored with them after a month or so and end up deleting them.

As a rogue...I've always enjoyed a good duo. The way things are today the only thing rogues are good for is sleep traps and the occasional BS to bring down a boss.

Poet + Subpath warrior duo, playing as either.
Subpath warriors have a tendency to use vitas often and well, so the hunts are usually fun.
The subpath tricks also present some interesting oppotunities -
Playing with a barbarian, he can get himself surrounded by four enemies - then summon a horse on top of him, jump over an enemy and throwing axe the horse simultaneously.
Then the healer knows to restore him, and the next second when the three other enemies take a step into a perfect overflow set, he can safely unleash a kwi-sin whirlwind as the healer knows what's happening.
For this reason it's always more fun to hunt with people you're familiar with.
All warriors can try the latter portion of this trick if you are lucky enough to have married or found your blood brother.

Well generally speaking, you don't use a PA when there is no mage. No mage means swinging mobs, and your vita attacks will not always be on aethers as you will more likely be waiting for a poet to catch up healing you or just in a bad situation to throw out a WW.

Of course the top is amended by the fact you have a poet much stronger than you (higher level heal), are in a lower cave, or are generally fearless =P

well.. as a 1'hit mage, I miss the days of setting for a fighter and placing a diamond around them.. thats the funnest hunt. beats tetris

as a poet.. I dont care, its all the same.

as a rogue, I like any hunt I can get where I dont have to sleeptrap and I can attack.

As a warrior I like to duo.

I think this answer is pretty much standard... aside from [Content removed]ty mages and lazy rogues.. or maybe buff warriors who understandibly love hunting in Diamonds.
