The point of more AC is having better ac when you're cursed with scourge or vex or whatever.

Example would be the -117ac max + 50ac from scourge = -67ac so still not -80.

It's useful in PK and while bosshunting solo. AC works as a percentage damage reduction, it's just capped.

ah ok. I thought it was percentage but then if you get over 100 you're invincible. but the cap makes sence. However wat say you did have 120 ac and you're a rogue with C5. wouldn't that mean you like can't be damaged?

If you want to talk about total damage reduction, then a rogue such as in the previous stated example would actually take less damage than the stated warrior would. Trade the bow out for a dragon fan and add super sanc from Cun5, as well as shadow figure and the damage reduction is actually closer to around 95%. Of course then you have the problem of someone sancing and scourging you and ruining it anyways.


-80 ac is only 20% total damage being taken. Which is in itself really pretty good. If you add sanc for any class that cuts it down to 10%. So, in a typical carnage situation, even with a cap, and sanced, it'd take a lot to kill you.


Is the best you can get though really only -117? It's gotta be lower than that. I'm a wasabi rogue, wearing black rings for goodness sakes and I'm close to -80 as it is.

I wouldn't be too surprised if it were. Cause when you get much higher all the EE equipment and stuff with just 1 point of extra negative ac can cost like a coupla million more
